Motile LLC (“Paymotile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates paymotile.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or ask us about merchant services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a contact, quote or application form, call us, or email us, we collect the details you provide. Depending on the form, this can include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your business name and website
- Your preferred contact date and time
- What your business sells, whether you already have a merchant account, which provider you use, and why you are applying
- Anything else you choose to include in a comment or message
If you move forward with a merchant account application, the processor or bank reviewing it may ask for more information, such as business registration, ownership, bank and processing history details. That information is collected under their application terms and privacy policies.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our servers and analytics tools automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the time of your visit, the page or site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. When you submit a form, we may record the page you submitted it from and how you found the Site, so we know which content and campaigns are working.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and contact you at the time you request
- Evaluate your business needs and match you with suitable payment processors and banks
- Help you prepare and submit a merchant account application
- Provide customer support for your account
- Send you information about our services, if you have asked us to or where the law allows (you can opt out at any time)
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
- Detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms and Site
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Payment processors and acquiring banks. To find you a merchant account, we share your business and contact details with the processors and banks we work with so they can review your request, underwrite your application and contact you. Each of them handles your information under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers. We use companies that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, form handling, email and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Paymotile, our users or others, including to prevent fraud.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- With your consent. We may share your information for any other purpose you agree to.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working and to measure how it is used. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand traffic and which pages are helpful. These tools set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device details and pages visited. You can learn how Google uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as intended. Clearing cookies or switching browsers may also clear opt-out settings you have chosen.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. Because we do not sell personal information, these signals do not change how we handle your data. If our practices change, we will update this policy.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you, support your account, and meet our legal, accounting and recordkeeping obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How We Protect Your Information
The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send full card numbers, bank account numbers or passwords through our contact forms.
